I got 8/10 too. Too bad they don't tell you which ones you miss. I think I probably missed the Civil War one too: dates have never been my thing. Better go look it up and put it in my Book of Centuries.
I'm pretty sure the Civil War was the 1860s, right? Let me check.
Yes, 1861-1865, so I didn't get that one wrong. I've been interested in the American Civil war ever since I saw Ken Burns' documentary...how appalling it was, the youth of some of the soldiers (25 of them under TEN!!! Here's a pic of a young man from Nashville, TN,), the appalling treatment of prisoners , and so on. What an appalling war.
The Boys' War is a book I've bought for Ben to study next year. It's going to be a rough year next year; Civil War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam War, Bosnian war...and no doubt I'll hit a bit on the Cypriot war as I was in it.
Wait wait! I should warn you, but I forgot in the above post - the one image of the appalling treatment of prisoners is not a happy one. It's of a concentration camp survivor. If that kind of image makes you too sad, please don't click on the link.
43, wife of 23 years, mother of 3. I'm English, have lived in quite a number of countries, would love to travel but don't have the money.
I currently live in TN.
I have three children. My daughter (22) is at University. My older son (17) is in high school and my younger son (7) has been homeschooled from birth.

8 out of 10 - I probably missed the same ones you did. What decade was the civil war?
